Vishal seems to have developed a liking for Kannada actors. In his Malaikottai, popular Kananda actor Devaraj played the baddie.

In his next film Sathyam that went to floors recently, Vishal will have popular Kannada actor Upendra playing the negative character.

Vishal says, “It is not something done with a purpose. It so happened. The director felt that these actors would suit the role entrusted to them well. Hence we have decided to cast them in our films”.

Malaikottai is directed by Boopathy Pandian and it features Priyamani opposite him. Sathyam directed by Rajasekhar has Nayantara playing the female lead.

The shooting for Malaikottai is almost wound up.

Boopathy Pandian says, “Malaikottai is a right mix of humor, action, romance and sentiment. Vishal has played his part well”.
